The fourth exam for Hanifaru Tour Guides for 2013 will be held on 01 August and the exam this instance will be held both only in Male’ and the deadline for registration is 31 July 1200hrs.
A total of 4 participants will be undertaking the exam, 3 in Eydhafushi and 1 in Male’.
The next exam for Hanifaru Tour Guides for 2013 will be held on 14 August and the exam will be held in Male’ or Eydhafushi depending on the number of participants registered. The deadline for registration of the next exam is 13 August 12.00 hrs
Hanifaru Tour Giude Exam - 3
The third exam for Hanifaru Tour Guides for 2013 will be held on 24 July. The exam will be held both in Male’ and in Eydhafushi and the deadline for registration is 23 July 1200hrs.
A total of 4 participants will be undertaking the exam, 3 in Eydhafushi and 1 in Male’.
Baa Atoll Conservation Fund Board Meeting
The second meeting of the Baa Atoll Conservation Fund Board was held on 22 July 2013 at Ministry of Environment and Energy. The meeting was chaired by Ibrahim Naeem, Director General of Environmental Protection Agency. The main discussion point of the second BACF board meeting was on issue grants from BACF to the local communities. The major outcome of this meeting were allocation of a maximum grant ceiling and agreement on tentative dates for the work to be carried out to achieve this.
The following agenda items were discussed at this meeting:
1.Update on Baa Atoll Conservation Fund and Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve.
2.Presentation by Mangrove for the Future(MFF) and GEF grants.
3.Presentation by NGO Federation of Maldives on grants awarded to the local communities.
4.Discussion on proposed grant areas from BACF for 2013/2014.
