BR Vessel undergoes test engine run
The newly built vessel which would be used by the Rangers of Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Office will be in operation in Baa Atoll by mid October. The vessel named “Atoll Ranger 1” has completed its allocated hours of test engine time during last weekend and is awaiting the Safety Certificate from Transport Authority.

Australia Award Team to visit Baa
A team from Australia Awards would be visiting Maldives from 30 September to 9 September 2013 to undertake a documentary on Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and other areas of interest to them in Maldives. The team is scheduled to spend time in Baa Atoll meeting the local communities, visiting the Biosphere Reserve Office and also Hanifaru Marine Protected Area as well.
